Natural Coconut Milk (I learned this technique from Tropical Customs)
Ingredients 7/8 cup of shredded coconut 1 cup hot water cup hot water
You’ll need: Blender Colander Cheesecloth Big bowl
Instructions: Add shredded coconut in the food processor or blender. Adding One cup hot water into the food processor or blender. Combine at high speed for 2- Three minutes. Put the cheesecloth over the colander. Pour the pulp ( from your blender) into the cheesecloth. Squeeze the coconut milk into your colander. Put the pulp back to the blender or food processor. Put Half A cup hot water. Mix on high speed again for approximately One- 2 mins. Put the pulp back into the cheesecloth.
This might appear to be a lot of steps, but I guarantee you its a breeze. This Is just blending water and shredded coconut and squeezing the milk out of it. You will see quickly this homemade version is noticeably nicer and much better than any store bought canned product.
